Solar energy development on public lands takes the next step with today’s deadline for public comments on the 22 areas in California, Arizona and Nevada identified by Interior Secretary Salazar and Senator Reid earlier this summer. However, is this really the best way to accelerate solar development on public lands, or are there other ways to ensure that projects get built that protect wildlife habitat while creating jobs and fighting climate change?
